You should also remove any slang or casual diction; the university is not interested in casual language in their admissions essays. Transfer credit will not be awarded for courses included on a student’s high school transcript and used to satisfy high school graduation requirements, i.e. dual credit courses. Only those students who have more than 20 college preparatory courses may have the Office of the Registrar consider for Rice credit their college courses taken in high school. Page and word limits are mentioned for a reason and you must be able to organize your submission by following the rules. Hiring a professional, rather than fumbling the task yourself, lets you drastically improve your chances of admission.
